Oh, my God! August and September just flew by! I,ve harldy been scrapping at all lately, school eats away all my time. But, actually that's ok since I'm studying arts and crafts this year;)

I made this LO some time ago, it's a photo of the man in my life taken not long after we found each other. I love the expression on his face on it, it represents a lot of what I appreciate in him as a person. The LO is made of a round paper from My little shoebox, a bit of those lovely Prima flower stems and some leafs that has been suffering from dust for a couple of years. Right now the LO is placed on our fire place shelf - and there I intend to keep it for a while.

Wedding envelope card

Yesterday someone contacted me wanting a wedding card. I've actually never made more than one wedding card before, and that was pretty simple and plain. These people wanted something a bit more stylish, so I had step up a bit. Unfortunately I didn't have the time (or daylight) to take proper pictures of it, so these photos does not really show allt the details - especially the use of White Bazzil Vintage Vine cardstock. And, with Photoshop installed on a crashed computrer...well, editing possibilities are quite limited at the time. I've seen similar envelope cards on the net, so I've got some inspiration from them.

I made the envelope from scratch, sewing it together with lace around the edges. That was a learning experience - I promise! I've been scared of the sewing machine for years! Whenever I've needed sewing I've tricked someone else into putting the tread where it's supposed to be, and sometimes even had them doing the sewing for me *giggle* This time just about everything went wrong, I had to learn it all alone (without instruction booklet) but I did it in the end! So, from now on I think I'll do a bit more sewing.
Inside I made a single card decorated with Martha Steward lace punch and some hand written text for the bride and groom.

The front of the envelope I chose to keep not too decorated - I wanted the vine cardstock to be decoration enough.
This was very fun to do! I think I'll make some different and smaller versions later, right now I've got some LOs waiting for creation...

A busy summer and no scrapping

Finally we're all in place here in Rognan. The past few months have been breathtakingly busy with the exams, finishing our house in Porsgrunn, packing all our belongings and moving to Rognan. There are still a number of boxes to explore and organize, but mainly we've now pretty organized.

In our new house I've got my own scrap room! I'm SO excited! Finally! I've had no such room in 3 years and my scrapping has certainly been suffering from it. Right now my room looks like a war zone and I wonder how the H*** I'm supposed to get things in system? Well, I'm used to work in chaos, so perhaps I should leave it that way.....*giggle* I'll show you some pictures when it looks presentable;)

This LO is the last one I made at Papir i Hjertet before moving from Porsgrunn; I haven't made any since we got up here. This LO also represents how far behind I am in the stack of photos. This picture is from our national day 2008, so I've got more than a year to catch up. On the bright side: I've no lack of scrapping material. By that I mean both pictures and scrapping supplies. (...admitting to a shopping spree no one should know about....)

Lets hope it's not that long 'till next time I've got something to update my blog with! Take care and enjoy the late part of summer! (I'm lucky to stretch the summer holiday 'till 31st august!)

My cute little chocolate monster

Last year in may I sat there like a whale on land waiting for the arrival of this little guy. I can't believe that it has been almost a year since his birth! He has gone from being a little baby that was only eating, sleeping and crying to a wild. little toddler that climbs the sofa, says "Mamma", argues with his brother, throws toys around and moved like a twirl around the house - he has even set his eyes on the stairs. Where did the time go? I guess the time flew by while I was way too busy combining my life as a mother and full time student. I bet he'll grow a beard before I know it...

I love this picture - it truly show his character. (and his oversized teeth - lol) I'm looking SO forward 'till I'm able to scrap this photo! That's pretty much how it is at the time - plenty of photos, but no time for scrapping. Oh, my creative soul is hurting........ But just wait: After my exams and the process of moving back home to the north I'll be back in business! But for now......I have to dive into my books again - exam coming up tomorow.

Oh, no... The Delete Devil has struck!

Sorry the bad language, but sometimes it's needed! A few days ago I tried to fix the labels on my blog posts, and guess what happened? The delete devil struck and now all my altered project are gone. *sigh* I didn't even know what I had done until I got a mail from a friend (thank you) who wondered where my altered brick was - she couldn't find it anywhere. Well, here it is:

The best big brother in the world

I love this portrait of my oldest son! He has such a warm, caring expression on his face - and that very much describes him in the role of being a big brother. He's very caring when it comes to his four year younger brother - he's more than willing to play with him and keep an eye on him. He's overall a very caring person, being a little brother himself and as a son, too.

I wanted to scrap this picture with a rough, but warm look. Even though he's a caring, little boy he's also very much a boy, so something sugar sweet would be totally wrong. A mix of box carton, tulle, screws, swirls, metal, hearts and a distressed paper gave a great blend og soft and rough - both in the look and in the symbolic contence of the LO. When finishing the LO I realized that I had fell into my old habit of scrapping in brown - a habit that I fought for some time to get rid of - but who cares after all....I like brown;)

I also gave myself a challenge with this LO: I hate felt - therefore I had to use it! I don't know why I hate felt - some people love it - I just do. Don't like the look or feel of it. The title is made of some MM felt alphabet that I just had to alter a bit with inks and paint - and it ended up looking not quite so "feltish."

A tender little sleeping beauty

Don't you agree that there is something heartwarming and truly special about babies asleep? I just love this photo, and I spent quite some time deciding how to scrap it - the thing that troubled me the most was which colors to use. The photo is originally taken in colors, but I wanted a tender, innocent look to the LO, so I went black/white. The photo was taken during a period that Jarle was sick, and this was his very first peaceful sleep in weeks due to severe intestant infection. From this day on everything became better.

I wanted to express both innocence and love, so I decided to go with white as my main color and then use red as contrast. I'm quite happy with the result of that. I also added some light blue glimmer mist to the background - unfortunately that doesn't show much in the photo.

This LO is not meant for any album. It's mounted on solid cardboard ready to hang up on the wall. I plan to do similar LO's of all mye kids for display - but that has to be in time. First of all I have to fix digital photos of the two eldest kids, then I have to find the time to do it. *sigh*

I'm often visiting Calvs blog to check out what Rotty (and Calvin) have been up to lately, and today it struck me: Rotty has no Fanclub!!! Well - now he does. And I present myself as the first member and no. 1 fan!

Well - to be honest: I haven't asked Calv about this, but I'm pretty sure that Rotty will blow up his ego and sabotage any attempt to close down his fanclub. Don't you think?

Busy days - barely any scrapping

Oh, my God....... I can tell you all: I really look forward 'till the day I'm no longer a student! These days I've got no time left what so ever to dive in to my scrapping passion. My dedicated corner is for the time being just a giant mess grinning at me with possibilities.....I'm quite sure I hear something giggle in there! Psychotic clearstamps perhaps? I guess doing nothing for a long time can mess with sanity in an ugly way. Well, perhaps that will help me create something crazy the day I actually can allow myself to get creative again. I feel insanity come crawling.....I'm not made for not expressing myself over a long period of time. *h.e.l.p* F*** education?

OK, enough whining. I actually have been scrapping a little bit. I joined the "Mesterscrappen" on Scrapping.no and made the finals, but I had to let the finals go without me because I just didn't have the time to do the 3 final contributions. A bit sad, since the competition made ignore my books and chores. But as the famous say: Always look on the bright side of life - I did scrap!

....perhaps this LO is a result of the insanity growing in my lonely, bored stash? I really liked doing this one - I like to play a bit and find strange twists to things that can tell an underlying story. It's quite a contrast to the baby-LO's I've also been scrapping (and that I'll post a bit later). While scrapping this one I started to wonder: What is my scrapping style? Really? What is my signature? I've no idea - schizofrenic?

Memories - after all: Life is pretty short

I wonder how life will be when I get old? How much will my scrapbooks mean to me? Will I remember the milestones in my kids' life? Will I be able to document our life so good that I won't feel anything is missing in the story?

This LO is in a way a looking glass into the future - I picture myself holding this photo of my youngest son and his father. I just love this photo, it shows how fragile a little baby can be, how protective his father is. It really gives me a warm, heartfelt feeling...

On this LO I've put my own touch to white Prima flowers; perhaps you've noticed that they're not white? Well, I've painted them with H2O shimmering paint, and that really gave them some *oompf* compared to the plain white look. I gave them some shine with a mix of red, orange and yellow H2o which blended very well together in the process - the paint just runs through the fibers in the flowers, never ending up as planned. I like to play a bit with experimentals, and this will for sure not be the last time I "make my own Primas."

Ok, I think my blog has had the look of a deep black dungeon, så I thought it was time for some change.... I don't know if it's the upcoming valetines day or any hidden romantic venture that has affected me, but somehow I ended up with a candy-cute heart look. So not typical me.

That's not all I've been up to lately. I hardly have time (or energy) to scrap much these days, but something has seen the day of light anyway. I attended the "Mesterscrappen" on scrapping.no with hope to get a kick in my scrapbooking ass, but I guess it'll just be a stressful "Oh, why did I join this??!!"-kind of thing, but at least it made me scrap something!

This LO is of my youngest son, born in june 2008. These are the very first pictures that was taken of him - while I was resting after the c-section. The pictures are taken by his dad, just 9 minutes after he came into this world. It was truly a happy time when he finally came out after a lot of stress and a bit of agony. He almost died during labour due to the fact that he had the cord wrapped 5 (!) times around his neck.

Perhaps it's not that clear on this photo, but I've written all his vital measures on the photos. He was so thin, very affected by the lack of nourishment due to the thightly wrapped cord. This is a LO loaded with emotions, and I guess it is to his father, too. He sat there alone just seconds after these photos, not quite understanding how lucky we were and just starting to take in the emotional rollercoaster we'd just been through. I'm very thankful for the outcome.

In the darkest hour.....

In the wintertime we don't have too much light here in Norway, so why not decorate some candles? Ok, these candles may not be that suitable to light up, but at least they make a great decoration - or gift. They are quite easy to make; just buy some candles and use a little bit of this and that - whatever you please! It doesn't take that much time either.

This old fashioned candy jar was actually a jar that I was supposed to put money in, but since I never got any further than leaving a couple of lonely coins to get bored on the bottom I thought that this jar could get a better life as a light jar. At least you can see that it has a purpose now *lol*

This jar is quite big, more than 30 cm. tall, so you can put several small candles in it or just one big. I've been playing a bit with alcohol ink that has been running down the glass, finding its own way. The bling swirls make a wonderful reflection when the candle is lit in a dark room - actually very romantic....

The period before christmas - during christmas - and after christmas - just wasn't the most productive time I've had. Almost a month since my last blog update, so: HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all! (blushing)

Ok, let's face it: Not all of us are happy with the way our bodies look - me neither. But: I'm actually very happy with one thing: mye eyes! I bet Victoria Beckham would pour out some bucks to get her hands on them. *ouch* The last challenge on the Papir i Hjertet designteam was about something we didn't quite like about our bodies, so naturally we had to follow up with the opposite!

Some Photoshop playtime, some well used (but expired) creditcards, a little bit of this and that: Voilà! A playful LO about my incredible blue eyes! I honestly think they are my best feature. (Let me know if you don't agree - I'm more than happy to hear a lot of nice things about the rest of me)

Violence leaves deep marks

This is the most personal LO I've ever scrapped. Actually, I never thought I'd put my behind out on the net *giggle* but in this case I think it's all right;) The designteam at Papir i Hjertet were dared by our wonderful Mona; to scrap a part of our body that we had bad confidence about or just felt bad about. In a way I failed the dare, because I don't have any of those feelings about my now very public bodypart. It'll always remind me of the past, but it can never make the past catch me.

The story behind this LO is that it's showing a part of my life that brought me a lot of pain - both physically and mentally. The journaling tells about my former boyfriend that hit me. "I'll never get a round, nice butt again, but I've actually got a nice life." Why always scrap the sunny part of life? This is just as much a part of as the rest, and it's wonderful to acknowledge that I'm now OK with what happened. Perhaps this could be an inspiration to others who has a story to tell? Remember: You don't have to show it to anyone.

Christmas Inspiration - published in "ViScrapper"

The Papir i Hjertet designteam were so lucky to be asked to contribute in the Christmas edition of "ViScrapper." ("We're Scrapping") Ok, trying to be objective about it: It's one amazing edition! This time the magazine was packed with wonderful inspiration for christmas projects - and of course: our designteam has certainly been a part of that. If you haven't got your hands on the magazine yet, you better hurry up! It's been in the store since november 11th. and many stores are already sold out.

The picture above shows one of my contributions - in this altered old album I'll put my favourite christmas recipes. I guess I'll have to call my grandmother and try to convince her to reveal some of her specialities....

I also altered a big bottle of "Glüwein" for the magazine. I actually don't know how to explain this kind of christmas drink in english, but it's some kind of warm, spicy and sweet drink that you put chopped almonds and raisins in. I just love the smell of it during the calm christmas days.... I planned to give this bottle away for christmas, but I don't know.....it's such a wonderful decoration, and I don't think I'll have the time to make another in time for christmas. (What? Is this egosentric thinking???)

3 siblings - "The brick flick"

I can't actually call this a LO, can I?
This is my contribution to the final in LSS where the task was to use and repeat the number 3 on everything exept from the title. Well, I've got 3 kids, so I decided to give them a brick each. (Huh? What hole in the driveway???) The idea behind using the bricks is that you can bulid just about whatever you want with them. So, these photos can be arranged in several ways - they can even make it quite all right as singles.

The bricks are also quite symbolic - you can build a monument with them, and my kids'll always have something built together just by being siblings. No matter how their lives'll turn out, they can rely on each other. (Ok, I may look though, but I'm really soft when it comes to my kids.)

It was not that easy to take an acceptable photo of these bricks. First of all, I've got no professional equipment (just wait 'till I grow up!). I've used some pearl white paint on the bricks and it gave a terrible reflection not matter what I tried. I finished the bricks so close to the deadline of the finals, so there was no daylight left for photographing. Ok, enough excuses - they turned out quite ok after all. So, now I just have to wait and see what the jury'll say. But, after seeing the other contributions in the finals, I've got doubts..... Oh, what the heck! I had FUN doing this one - it made me think alternatively, and that is what I love the most when I scrap!

Little baby bird

This LO actually started as a scraplift of one of Linda Salte's LO`s, but I never got to finish it while I still had it in sight, so when I sat scrapping alone it got some more personal twists. Linda's LO were made from a round, die cut scallop paper; I didn't have that, so I decided to make my own. I didn't care to make it very accurate or symmetric, I just found a black pen and drew it freehanded on some smooth bazzill carton. This is where my "Glove Pelsie style" came to life. *lol*

The LO is about my little boy being just so little - a little bird that still has a long way to go before he'll leave the nest. I wanted to show how innocent and tender he is. I also drew the green bird by hand; inspired by a stamp I orginally wanted to use, but I thought it was too small for the LO.

Creative Chaos by Hjertelaget

I just love scrapping together with my designteam! No wonder - the team is a wonderful mix of crazyness, humour, creativity, heart warmth and bubbly laughter. This past weekend we met - for the very last time in the store of Papir i hjertet. Our next meeting will be in the new, bigger and improved house in Skien. It was kind of nostalgic to me - the last time in the place where papir i Hjertet was born. Well, it's just not enought space as it is today - just take a look:

The weekend was just plain wonderful.... It contained a wide range of things: Gypsy music concert, karaoke, chinese food, wine, scrapping and a whole lot of talking and laughing. Starting a layout I didn't have the round, die cut paper I wanted, so I decided to make it! By that my alter ego came to life: "Glove Pelsie!" Well - in a strange mix of norwegian and english that means something like "furry gloves" - which will be my logo when I copycat Love Elsie the best I can. *LOL* The LO I'm talking about you'll find in the Papir i Hjertet November gallery - take a look at it and see if you think I'm a real "Glove Pelsie!"

Another weekend with social scrapping! Also featuring: gypsie music, karaoke, wine,different types of "dots", a lot of laughter and heart sprinkled cake - that's another story better not shared outside the Papir i hjertet designteam ;) *LOL*

Well, I actually had planned to scrap A LOT (as usual) but AS USUAL the hours seemed to contain jetfuel and went away in a supernatural speed. During this weekend I found my alter ego - that is to be revealed a bit later;) *giggle*

This onesie is the result of the 4th round of LSS. We're now just 8 contestants remaining, so it'll be exciting to see who actually will be the Last Scrapper Standing. This time we were supposed to (ab)use fabric. I wanted to scrap ON fabric instead of using fabric on a LO, so I found one of Jarle's onesies that doesn't fit anymore. It was hard to get a photo that really shows the intention and idea behind this work - the circle down to the right is actually a mirror. The title means "How big I am now:". The picture shows Jarle at 3 months, and he's supposed to look in the mirror as he gets older - always able to see how big he is right now; comparing his look at 3 months.

I've dyed the onsie with different types of ink: Luminarte Shimmering Mist, Distress Ink and Posh Rainbow Dye Ink. You'll also see some hand stitched fabric behind the photo along with some lace and fabric flowers. I added some tulle to the hand made hanger to create some kind of nostalgic look.

So: why scrap on plain paper when there are so many possibilities? My head is spinning with ideas - and a hunger for time to put them to life.....

Just plain eatable!

I guess that most of us who have kids (or just love kids) have had that feeling of "wanting to hug them so hard that they'll crush?" Or have been kissing them so much that you have the feeling of eating them? Well, apart from these being quite horrifying images it's very true - or what?

This LO I made this past weekend at the gathering at Papir i hjertet. I wasn't able to spend as many hours there as I wanted, but oh...it was truly a good injection of scrapping vitamins! It has been way too long since I scrapped together with others! (But next weekend is designers weekend, so "husband" and kids will have to do on their own...) It was very clear to me that it was a long time since I've packed the XXL tote - I filled it - and two big boxes that I had to balance on top of it. Me afraid of leaving anything behind??? You should never underestimate the power of multiple choices when scrapping! OK, perhaps I forgot that I was going to scrap at a store....that has just about everything I need.

On this LO I've been playing a bit with alcohol ink and Black magic carton. Ok: that was just to hide the fact that the photo is not exactly my best shot. WTF - who says a photo has to be studio perfect? I actually love it just the way it is!

Today I went to Papir i hjertet to pick up my albums that has been at inspirational display in the shop. The albums have been there for more than a year and a half, so it's actually a long time since I've been looking through them my self. The albums contains all my work since I started scrapbooking about 3 years ago, so they are certainly showing me developing and learning. Some of the LO's are just plain embarrasing to look at today *LOL* Well, they have a certain charm anyway.

This LO "The spaghetti boy" is one of the first ones I ever made, and it's not that brilliant when it comes to technique and style, but for some reason it has found a special place in my heart - for some reason I don't quite understand. It's very simple and it contains my very first use og rub-ons and die cut letters.

I hope that some of you that pop in to see my blog will show me some of your LO's that for some reason has hit your heartstring in a mysterious way.

Changing language

OK - to those of you who know and use english a lot: Please don`t laugh at my critically rusty english....

I have decided to change my blog from being in pure norwegian to a much more versatile language. I may not translate all my older posts - my goodness, I certainly have many other creative things I want to spend my time doing! A little "kitchen chemistry" is fun!

This picture of my little brother has been awaiting inspiration for some time - and the true inspiration didn`t hit me until round 3 of LSS on "Minneriket." We were supposed to find and make our own colors from whatever we could find in drawers and other strange places in the house. So, this LO is inspired by the term "self made" - it`s about making your life your own.

There`s lot of symbolism on this LO: Time in a small bag, time as watch parts, aqua vita, the keys to life, an adult man lurking in the background, love and broken hearts, blossoming, free as a bird, network, holding on to....many aspects regarding my little brother`s confirmation and his doorway to adulthood.

Enough about that - what about the colors?

-The brown lace i dyed in coffee - I did it two times; the second time I only did he tips of one part of the lace.
-The fiber paper in the background is dyed with dye meant for cake icing.
-The icecream popstick and "math card" is painted with water based furniture milling.
-The circle back and to the right I may say is a part of myself - it`s dyed with the very same color I hide my grey hair with *lol*
-The hearts have their color from a mix of coal from our fireplace, water and gum arabic - fixated to not smear the whole thing.
-The little retro flowers are dyed with a mix of tea bags and red peppers.
-The little plastic bag containing the watch face has its color from rusty, old nails.

Babylaughter

Guess who's the chief of agenda in this house?
That's Jarle all right....Oh, it can certainly be wearing with these little ones who eats away all your energy by nagging, eating, sleeping, crying, cuddling, playing and SMILING! It's a real turning point the day a baby starts smiling, but to me it's an even greater turning point the day they start to LAUGH! Can you think of anything more heartwarming than babylaughter?

I can take a lot of sleepless nights and tiresome days for just a few moments of bubbly laughter. In those moments this little man is my beautiful, little angel. (But yes: I do picture him with devilish horns sometimes too....*lol*)
Jarle is beginning to become a big boy now - well, if a baby at 4,5 months ever can be considered big.He rolls over on the floor, he grasps and holds his toys, he "imitates a banana" trying to squiggle himself forwards and backwards on the floor. I guess I just have to face it: The definitive baby periode has very little sand left in the top part of the hourglas...

Litt selvinnsikt?

Jada - man er vel neppe bare det ene eller det andre som menneske. Mon tro hvordan denne ville sett ut om familien min skulle ha lagt til adjektivene? *hehe*

Denne LO`en ble laget til første runde i LSS, og jeg har kost meg masse med litt gammelt stæsj og det sykt kule papiret fra Studio2Mers. I følge LSS-oppgaven skulle man bruke bilde i passfotostørrelse - og hvem sier man ikke kan bruke mange små for å lage et større et? Dette lerretet scrappet jeg til runde 2 i LSS (Last Scrapper Standing) på Minneriket.
Jeg har kort sagt rippet hull i lerretet og scrappet inni selve rammen - litt gøy å ikke bare holde seg til 2D men å få til litt 3D-effekt på et bilde.

Bildet er av Rainer som her var ett år i 2005. Det er rart å se på dette bildet nå når jeg sammenlikner med den "store" fireåringen vi har i hus nå. Han ble liksom ekstra stor når minstemann kom til familien i juni. Jeg tenkte å lage slike lerreter av alle ungene - det er desverre ikke så ofte bildene jeg scrapper av dem havner på veggen, det blir som oftest i album.

Selvfølgelig er Jarle søt! Selvfølgelig!
Dette bildet ble tatt under den varmeste perioden i sommer, det var hele 32 grader i skyggen og det var plagsomt varmt for en liten mann. Han lå stort sett på et teppe i skyggen og prøvde så godt han kunne å være en grei liten baby. Vi var ille plaget av varmen alle mann, men Jarle var nok den som slet mest. Utrolig nok klarte han å være søt hele tiden, hehe.

Denne LO`en ble laget til septembergalleriet hos Papir i Hjertet, og hvis du lurer på hva det er jeg har brukt så finner du det der.

I mangel på midnattsol.....

Enkelte ting blir rett og slett ikke det samme i sør-Norge som i nord-Norge. Jeg tar meg titt og ofte i å savne midnattsolen. (men jeg elsker mørke kvelder - rart dilemma det der)

Her jeg bor har vi "heldigvis" utsikt til et gassbluss på Rafnes raffineri, og når de fyrer det i gang så er det nesten som å ha et midnattsolsubstitutt! Det blir jo selvsagt ikke helt det samme, men det lager i alle fall en god etterlikning med vakre farger på himmelen.

På dette bildet har jeg fanget husets store musefanger i positur med full oversikt over nabolaget. Jeg hadde jo en mildt sagt lang pause fra scrappingen, så jeg fikk aldri med meg at kraftkartong var stilig, så det måtte jeg jo prøve. Himmel for et stress det skulle blitt hvis jeg skulle scrappe meg gjennom alle "motene" scrappeverdenen gikk gjennom mens jeg hadde pause. Tro meg - det var mye stæsj jeg siklet etter men aldri kjøpte fordi jeg ikke fikk scrappet. Tross alt: Sparte penger - og det kommer ALLTID nytt stæsj man sikler etter. (Hvis noen har for mye penger kan jeg lett opprette mitt eget scrappefond, altså)

LO`en er laget til augustgalleriet til Papir i hjertet, og har du ikke vært innom der enda, så foreslår jeg at du skyndter deg inn og tar en titt på alt det lekre som ligger der. *drømme om bedre tid til å scrappe*

I alle dager...
Jeg har visst fått en award for bloggen min, og det var koselig å se når jeg satte meg ned med en kopp kaffe og en foccachia foran pc`en for å surfe i meg lunsjen min.

Cry me a river

I den vannvittige varmen,med baby på armen, huset FULLT av besøk og skifting av bordkledning på huset har jeg faktisk klart å spikre sammen en LO. Jeg må nesten si det var med blod, svette og tårer for jeg sliter noe grusomt med scrappingen! Eier ikke driv, så jeg føler scrappingen blir så som så - men ett sted må man jo begynne...

Jeg forestiller meg at alt blir bedre når skolen begynner - dvs. når huset er tomt, huset er ferdigspikret og dagene blir roligere. (Hvordan kan jeg tro det blir roligere dager når vi begge er studenter med tre unger i huset; hvorav en er et knøtt???)

I alle fall - ankomsten av minstemann har inspirert meg til å grave litt i bunken av gamle blider av søsknene. Det blir nok morsomt å sammenlikne bilder av dem nå som tiden går og minstemann forandrer seg :)

Det går absolutt ikke fort med scrappingen for tiden - og Jarle på litt over 1 mnd. må vel ta "skylden" for det. Det har vært noen travle uker med nytt menneske i hus, gråting, bæring og sykehusinnleggelse - men alt ser ut til å gå mye bedre nå.

Denne LOen begynte jeg på under designertreffet i butikken til Papir i Hjertet, men det tok sin tid før den ble ferdig. Jeg har tenkt å dokumentere hele familien slik at barna mine vet hvem alle er - det er jo desverre sli at de treffer dem sjelden i og med at vi bor så langt unna. I og med at scrappingen har ligget på hylla så lenge, har jeg ikke helt dreisen lengre, så det ble en del "ombygging" før jeg kunne si meg sånn rimelig fornøyd. Det er rart å føle seg som en nybegynner igjen.

Sommerjobb

Her i gården blir det desverre dårlig med feriereiser i år, så her benyttes tiden til å bygge litt og male litt på huset. Mens far i huset bygger veranda og storesøster maler den, så benytter Rainer muligheten til å bygge sitt eget hus - "lille-19."
Det er behørig malt, påsatt dør og innredet med stol, brus, roser (!) og egen salgsbod:)

Selvfølgelig har vi fått verdens nydeligste baby!
Han ble født 04.06.08 kl. 18.21 og kom til verden med keisersnitt etter litt dramatikk.
I tiden fremover skal jeg nå bare nyte babylukt og være mamma på heltid.....og det spørs om det ikke må scrappes noen babybilder snart.....

Bloggen er under oppussing

For de som skulle titte innom med (u)jevne mellomrom, så kan jeg fortelle at bloggen for tiden gjennomgår en aldri så liten oppussing. Det er meget mulig det må ses på som eksperimentering, for dette er jeg langt fra verdensmester i. Jeg ville bare kommer meg litt bort fra den gamle, brune "vintage wannabe-looken" og heller prøve å få et litt sprekere utsseende på plass. (Tilbakemeldinger mottas med takk)

Stillstand...

Jada.
Det har vært fullstendig stillstand på bloggen i flere måneder og hovedgrunnen er at jeg har vært uten nett.

Siden sist har vi rukket å kjøpe hus og flytte, pusse opp, selge og tømme huset nordpå mens vi liksom var på ferie. Det har blitt lite tid til scraping i løpet av sommeren, desverre.

Det eneste jeg har fått gjort er å scrappe oppgavene til semifinalen NM. vel, det var med nød og enppe det! 15 min. etter at postbilen normalt sett tar posten med seg til andre kanter av landet herfra stod jeg og hev etter pusten på postkontoret med en halvferdig pakke mellom hendene. Oppgavene kom med et nødskrik med- og til min store overraskelse gikk jeg til finalen!

Dagene nå for tiden er ikke preget av å ha tid til scrapping i det hele tatt - jeg har blitt student og har kilometervis med fagstoff å lese. Det har blitt en tid med selvpining, for jeg sitter på scrappepulten og leser....det er litt for ofte at blikket faller på noe annet jeg har lyst til å gjøre, ja.

Nå jobber jeg hardt med en av oppgavene til finalen i NM - det må være det mest HÅPLØSE bildet jeg noen gang har scrappet, men LO skal det blir! *hihi*

Når jeg har fått oppdratt pc-en min soom tror den er så syk at den ikke vil vise meg det jeg vet jeg har lagret der skal jeg prøve å få lagt ut noe nytt å hvile øynene på.
Men det får bli senere i uka - nå skal jeg aller mest konsentrere meg om den forestående praksisen jeg har på lærerskolen.

Herreguuuud... hustes minstemann er en pratemaskin uten like! Det kommer lyd utav munnen hans hele tiden, unntatt når den er full av mat.

Dette må jo selvfølgelig dokumenteres. Helt burde denne LOen vært med lyd, for man glemmer sikkert med tiden hvor mye han egentlig snakket.... Han er minst like nysgjerrig som han er pratsom, og fortsetter han i dette tempoet, så lærer han mye rart på kort tid.

Rødt er jo som kjent kjærlighetens farge, så derfor kunne jeg ikke tenke meg en bedre farge å scrappe dette portrettet av min datter i.

Jeg har desverre alt for få bilder av henne, en kombinasjon av at hun ikke er så glad i å blir tatt blide av og det at man da gjerne lar være å ta bilder av henne - man vil jo tross alt ikke bli "plageånden med kamera."

Dette bildet er jeg utrolig glad i, hun er så lik seg selv ogg synes hun utstråler akkurat det jeg setter pris på hos henne.

Det er ikke til å komme fra at det jeg scrapper aller mest er ungene mine, men denne gangen kom jeg over et bilde av min kjære fra den tiden vi ble kjærester.

En runde i scanneren og Photoshop gav meg et bilde som for alltid vil minne meg om hvordan han så ut da vi møttes - det tror jeg blir morsomt for ungene å se om noen år, for jeg har selv hatt stor glede av å se mine foreldre som unge.Kanskje denne Loen blir spesielt morsom å ha den dagen minstemann her i huset skal gjøre unna sin plikt i det militære?

Rotehoder scrapper kanskje mest?

Etter å ha rotet bort innloggingsinformasjonen til bloggen min har jeg nå endelig funnet en lapp bakerst i en skuff som eeendelig gjorde at jeg kom meg inn på bloggen min igjen!

Jeg svever stadig rundt i finne-min-stil-verden og prøver meg på alt mulig av teknikker og stilarter. Det er nå i bunn og grunn det som gjør scrapping morsomt!Jeg eslker å eksperimentere - selv om resultatene blir varierende i både utseende og kvalitet.

Et av de menneskene jeg er mest glad for å ha møtt i mitt liv er Mona....
Etter en scrapliftutfordring på Scrapping.no ble dette resultatet. Vi tok en serie bilder på nyttårsaften, og dette er en LO jeg tror jeg kommer til å være glad for at har laget.

Jeg har funnet fram et bilde av min samboer fra da han var ett år gammel, scannet det inn og laget en LO om hvordan han så ut i 1981...... Vår sønn er en tro kopi av sin far! Bildet var originalt i farger, men kvaliteten på bildet var heller dårlig, så etter å ha fikset litt på det ble det seende slik ut.

Pepperkakehus!

Her i huset har vi laget pepperkakehus til jul - og husets yngste har stått for pyntingen......Vel, etter at bildet ble tatt mangler det litt pynt, for selv om huset ble plassert utenfor rekkevidde, så kom Klatremus seg til.....

Stempelscrapping

De fleste holder de to hobbyene scrapping stempling ganske så adskilt fra hverandre, selv om skillene mellom dem stadig viskes mere ut.
På denne LOen har jeg laget mønsterark og pynt fra grunnen av - en utfordring fra Kreativ Hobby.

Dette var absolutt en utfordring som gav mersmak! Det tar faktisk overraskende kort tid å lage sitt eget mønsterark, og med stempler har man med en gang matchende pynt. Dette skal gjentas....

Julekort til venner og familie

Julekort må jo venner og familie få, og jeg synes det er koselig å lage dem selv - så får de kort det garantert ikke finnes maken til.
Jeg skal innrømme at jeg selv ikke er spesielt flink til å ta vare på julekort, men de jeg får som er håndlagede - de tar jeg godt vare på....

Tanker for fremtiden

Med barn i huset gjør man seg ofte tanker om fremtiden for dem - det ligger nok ganske så naturlig for foreldre å bekymre seg for ungene sine.

I siste runde av skisse-o-mania på Scrapping.no valgte jeg å sette noen få ord på dette. Bildene er hentet fra en portrettserie jeg tok av min datter.

Travle dager før jul....

Det er ofte travle dager før jul, og det kan til tider gå utover scrappingen, men litt får man da tid til....

Nå som lillemann i huset har begynt å prate mye, er det mange artige ord og uttrykk som kommer - og de må jo selvfølgelig dokumenteres! Dette ordet for "fjernkontroll" har vi ledd mye av - og det regner jeg med han kommer til å gjøre selv også når han blir større. Dette er absolutt en av de største gledene med å lage album!

Kurs, oppgaver osv....

De siste dagene har gått med til å forberede kurs inne på DinHobby og på kurs her i Porsgrunn - i tillegg til at det jobbes med diverse julerelaterte ting.
Jeg finpusser på en stemplingsteknikk som heter Grid-teknikk - så får vi håpe at den sitter pedagogisk når det skal læres bort...

Jeg skal også igang med aller siste runde av Skisse-o-mania inne på Scrapping.no og er spent på hvordan det endelige resultatet blir etter 12 uker med ukentlige skisseoppgaver.
Jeg har eeeendelig blitt kvitt vegringen min for skisser!

Uff, ja......det er vel bare å innse at tiden ikke står stille og at den lille gutten min er i ferd med å bli stor.....
Nå banner han og alt mulig *hehe*
Man kan jo bli tankefull av mindre - hvor ble den søte, lille babyen av?
Og hva skal denne rakkeren bli når han blir stor?

Denne LOen har jeg scrappet av en scrappepakke jeg har satt sammen til et kurs i drodling jeg skal kjøre på DinHobby - jeg er veldig spent på å se hva kursdeltakerne får ut av den samme pakken! :)

Jada, det er helg - lørdagskveld tilogmed - og hva gjør fruen i huset? Joda, hun SCRAPPER!

Jeg har scrappet en skisseutfordring fra Scraphaugen, og mitt første møte med mitt nye multividunder av en scanneprintemaskin...ja, jeg ble nå ikke helt venner med den..Gammelhunden av en Lexmark ga bedre scannebilder, men jeg - som en tyyyypisk nordmann - har selvfølgelig ikke lest bruksanvisningen på min nye Canon. Jaja.
Bildet jeg har brukt på denne LOen minner kanskje mest om en rollefigur i en gammel, dårlig, irsk krimserie?

I tillegg har jeg "scrappet" julegave til min kjære mor idag, men den viser jeg ikke frem i tilfelle hun skulle klare å tulle sitt legeme inn her. Ikke at det er sore sjanser fo det, men man vet aldri....

Idag har jeg altså startet min aller første blog! :)
